Austin Community College first opened its doors in Central Texas on September 17, 1973. 50 years ago, ACC had one goal in mind: to provide affordable and accessible education for all. They are proud to have served our community every year since.

In honor of ACC's 50th Anniversary, they are asking the community to LIGHT UP PURPLE on Sunday, September 17. We hope you will join ACC and us in celebrating this momentous milestone.

Join us in celebrating ACC by wearing purple and lighting up your buildings purple if you are able.

In addition, the college invites you to a special, community-wide celebration called “50 Years Later: A Riverbat Homecoming Fest”
