Hyatt House Opens in Downtown Austin

Hyatt House, located at 901 Neches Street, celebrated the grand opening of its new cozy getaway with a special ribbon cutting ceremony. Hyatt House joined the Austin Chamber in December 2016. At the opening, visitors were taken on personal tours of the newly furbished facility decorated with modern art and technology. Hyatt staff thanked guests for attending the event and their workers for their continuous support. Special guests included Austin City Council representative of District 9 and Mayor Pro Tem Kathie Tovo and live music from RJ Villa and Band.

“I just want to take a moment to thank my team,” said Matthew Stafford, General Manager of the Hyatt House. “They are the people who scrub this carpet, vacuum those floors, and really put their heart and soul into this building.”

Just a couple of steps from Sixth Street, the Hyatt House offers business travelers, leisure enthusiasts, and families residential-style rooms, an outdoor pool, and free daily breakfast. The 190 suite facility offers rooms with separate sitting areas, walk-in showers, pullout sofas, and full kitchen areas with silverware and cookware. Hotel amenities include a complimentary hot breakfast, Wi-Fi, 24-hour fitness center, onsite laundry facilities, and valet parking. The hotel accommodates 960 square feet of meeting space for small gatherings, social events, and conferences.

“I am so thankful that we are here on this day celebrating this grand opening,” said Sam Kumar, President of the Journeyman Group. “It was a tough project to build. Thank you all for your hard work in getting this project done and believing in us.”

The ribbon cutting was held May 31. For more information on Hyatt House, click here. If you are a Chamber member and would like to coordinate a ribbon-cutting ceremony, contact Melanee Ferrier at 512-322-5684.
