Next Wednesday, November 10, we will share an analysis of the economy and predictions for what the economic landscape will look like in 2022 at our Economic Outlook event. Who are the industry experts speaking on these trends and insights? Meet them below.


  • Joseph Quinlan

    Managing Director and Head of Market Strategy for Bank of America

    Starting his career at Merrill Lynch, Joseph now has 20 years of financial service experience. He has served as a lecturer faculty member in finance and global economics since 1992 at New York University, and his research has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Financial Times, and he has most recently been with Morgan Stanley as a senior global economist/strategist.

    Mr. Quinlan regularly debriefs policy makers and legislators on Capitol Hill on global trade and economic issues. He has testified before the European Parliament. He has served as a consultant to the U.S. Department of State and presently serves as the U.S. representative (Economic Policy Committee) to the OECD for the U.S. Council for International Business. He is also a board member of Fordham University’s Graduate School of Arts and Science and serves on Fordham University’s President Council.

  • Jon Hockenyos

    President at TXP

    Jon Hockenyos has had a life-long interest in economics and public policy. Following stints as an aide to a member of the British Parliament and work on a Senatorial campaign in his home state of Illinois, Mr. Hockenyos founded TXP while attending the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin in 1987. Since then, TXP has successfully completed hundreds of projects for a wide variety of clients, including serving as economist-on-retainer for the City of Austin for the past twenty years and working with Travis County to structure the deal that brought Tesla to Austin. Along with serving as President of the firm, Mr. Hockenyos makes numerous public presentations and speeches, has served as a resource witness on a variety of issues for a large number of city councils, state legislatures, and the U.S. Congress, and is widely quoted by both print and electronic media.

    Mr. Hockenyos received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Illinois and Masters of Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs, where he has taught as an Adjunct Professor. He is a Trustee of Ascension Texas and is a member of the Board of American Bank of Commerce, as well as several other not-for-profit boards.
