We're thrilled to announce the newest addition to our team of skilled therapists: Jamie Wang, LPC-S! Jamie brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our community, specializing in providing support for a wide range of needs.
Jamie's areas of focus include working with adults experiencing PTSD, Military Veterans, Mood Disorders, Men's Issues, Stress Management, Life Management Coaching, Ethnic/Cultural Issues, and Anxiety. With a collaborative and person-centered approach, Jamie fosters open and honest dialogue, ensuring that each client feels heard and understood.
Drawing from a diverse toolkit of therapeutic techniques including Motivational Interviewing, DBT, CPT, CBT, Brief Solutions, and Solution-focused therapies, Jamie tailors his approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. Additionally, Jamie offers coaching and motivational work for clients seeking personal growth and improved relationships, utilizing principles from Stoicism to manage expectations and enhance resilience.
Jamie's personal journey, from overcoming adversity in his upbringing to serving as an Infantryman in Iraq, brings a profound depth of understanding to his work. As an immigrant from Taiwan who fell in love with Texas after his military service, Jamie is deeply connected to our community and is dedicated to serving its members.
With over 13 years of experience in community mental health in ATX, Jamie has worked with individuals and families across all levels of care, providing compassionate support and guidance through challenging times.
Beyond his work as a therapist, Jamie is a relatable individual with diverse interests, including travel, photography, music, and fitness. His passion for life shines through in all that he does, enriching the lives of those around him.
