Austin Gives appreciates businesses that dedicate themselves to philanthropy. Our annual Austin Gives Awards celebrates generosity, community, and the charitable efforts of our business community. This event buzzes with excitement and fosters an inspiring atmosphere of celebration.

Special Performance from Tameca Jones
Austin’s Empress of Soul, Tameca Jones, is a beloved soul singer praised for her intense, passionate vocal delivery and fierce performances. After gaining a strong reputation as a gifted cover artist, Jones started writing her own original compositions and debuted them at the 2015 Austin City Limits Festival. She released her debut EP “Naked” in 2016. She toured with Gary Clark Jr and shared stages with Leon Bridges, Willie Nelson and Lukas Nelson, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Shakey Graves, BB King, and countless other major artists. In November 2023, she will release her debut full length album “Plants and Pills.”

This year's Bobby Jenkins Philanthropic Leadership Award recipients
Tomi and Pete Winstead will be the 2023 Bobby Jenkins Philanthropic Leadership Award recipients. This remarkable couple has dedicated themselves to serving the greater Austin community, indelibly impacting countless lives.
The Winsteads' remarkable dedication and unwavering commitment to serving the Greater Austin community have garnered widespread recognition. In 2002, the Boy Scouts of America awarded them a Distinguished Citizen's Award – the only time the award has ever been given to a couple rather than an individual – a testament to their outstanding leadership and service. In 2017, Caritas of Austin honored Tomi and Pete with the Harvey Penick Award for "Excellence in the Game of Life," recognizing their exemplary embodiment of compassion and generosity. Together, they gave the 2021 commencement at Austin Community College.

Cancellation Policy
The Austin Chamber of Commerce must maintain a cancellation policy for events in order to properly plan for catering, venue expenses, and marketing efforts. Unless stated otherwise, Chamber reservations must be canceled 5 business days prior to the event to be eligible for a refund. All refunds will be issued 10 days after the event. No refunds will be issued for nonattendance. You are welcome to send another member of your staff in your place.
