WorldFirst wins Greater Austin Business Award for ensuring international businesses are in good hands

Growing a business overseas is sometimes perceived as a daunting undertaking. The decision to expand globally can be fueled by a desire to diversify market risks, gain access to new markets or simply fuel growth rates. While steering an international business model can be tricky, possibly the most important question to consider is how to navigate cross-border currency transactions.

This is where WorldFirst comes in. WorldFirst has the international payment tools to power global ambition. How? The global finance company specializes in international payments and cross-border currency transactions, helping businesses export to new markets, pay overseas suppliers or grow abroad. WorldFirst enables customers to manage payments quickly, securely and transparently.

“People are at the heart of everything we do,” said Michael Ward, Chief Revenue Officer and CEO North America of WorldFirst. “Our business is built on relationships with our clients, suppliers, partners and with each other. We understand cultural and economic needs on an international scale, both for businesses and individuals.”

Recently, WorldFirst won the AT&T Global Impact Award. The accolade – a category of the Greater Austin Business Awards program – recognizes international companies that create jobs locally, as well as Austin-based businesses that make a global impact through their products or services.

Founded in London in 2004, WorldFirst now has seven offices worldwide. The company opened its first Austin office in 2015. The Austin location employs 55 staff, who together with WorldFirst’s global office network, offers clients access to award-winning customer service around the clock.
