Opportunity Austin, the Chamber's five-year regional economic development initiative, is focused on fostering job-creating investment across the Austin region. In September an OA delegation traveled to Northern California where they conducted 45 meetings with site selectors, headquarters of companies who have a presence in the Austin region, and companies considering entering the Austin market with a presence.

These market trips conducted throughout the year, are a crucial part of recruiting job creators and capital investment to our region. OA has had incredible success since 2004, directly helping create more than 423,000 jobs and more than $11 billion in payroll across the region.
