6th Annual Austin Gives Nominations Now Open

WHAT: Austin Gives, a program of the Greater Austin Chamber, that encourages business philanthropy, has launched this year’s Awards nominations. Our mission is to recognize businesses who have pledged 1% of pre-tax earnings such as volunteer time, products, services and financial support toward their community impact efforts.

Applications are being accepted now through December 30. Finalists will be selected from each of the following categories:

Charitable Champion: 26 or less employees
Big Heart: 27-100 employees
Bold Giver: 101-400 employees
Community Leader: 401+ employees

All businesses will be acknowledged for their generous contributions at the Austin Gives Luncheon to be held March 22, 2018, but only one business in each category will take the 2017 Title. Last year’s award recipients included Hoar Construction, Round Rock Express, Keller Williams Reality International, and Seton Family Healthcare.

WHY: The Austin Gives Award recipient program was created to recognize Austin businesses for their efforts to give back to community-based, non-profit organizations. Since its launch in 2011, the program has celebrated Austin as one of the most philanthropic regions in the nation.

WHEN: Thursday, March 22, 2018, 11:00am to 1:00pm. Lunch expected to begin at 11:30, Keynote and Awards presentation at noon.
