  • “The Austin Chamber does vital work for the area. Without the fabulous growth of area business, Austin would not be the highly desirable place to live and relocate to that it has become – just look on any list in the country. A large part of our area’s business growth is directly attributable to the efforts of the Chamber and its members.”

  • “We love the Austin Chamber of Commerce because it has helped us connect to amazing mentors who have helped us with growth, marketing, structure, and implementation of successful programs. This has been extremely valuable to us as a very young business in a hyper competitive market.”

Recent work

  • School finance reform

During the 86th State Legislative session, we supported meaningful school finance reform. Our team worked with policymakers to get legislation signed into law which aims to slow rising property taxes and make it easier for Texans to understand how their tax bills are determined.

  • Austin economic development policy

We promote policies to help attract new employers and expand existing job creators. In 2018, the City of Austin expanded its economic development policy to help local businesses hire more workers.

  • Keep Austin Voting

Elections matter. We partnered with local chambers and One Voice Central Texas (a coalition of 100+ civic organizations) to host candidate forums and a voter’s resource guide. In addition, we partnered with the Real Estate Council of Austin to host an additional mayoral forum.
