Summer Internship Program
Learn more about how we're partnering with local organizations and businesses to help prepare the workforce of the future.

We are dedicated to providing early career opportunities for students, and just launched the second year of our Summer High School Internship Program, in partnership with Austin ISD and Austin Ed Fund. We’re thrilled to welcome 68 talented interns this summer who will be gaining hands-on experience at 40 businesses and organizations across Austin—including two interns working right here at the Chamber.
2025 Program Details:
- Summer interns will work 20 hours a week for 6 weeks from June 9 to July 25, 2025, with a program break from June 30 - July 4.
- Students will receive a $2000 stipend for living expenses.
- Students receive course credit through the completion of a capstone project.
- Students receive 2 days of professional career training to prepare them for the workplace.
- To participate, businesses are asked to make a $2,500 donation to Austin ISD’s EdFund which will go towards compensating students and program costs.
- Students are supported by certified teachers who act as career coaches and meet with students weekly.
