Village Homes in Austin #TexasStrong
AUSTIN, TEXAS –
“In 1836, 100 Texans stood strong at The Alamo against a common foe. This time, there are 29 million Texans in the fight together to overcome COVID. We will overcome. Our DNA demands it.”
When I heard a recent Goldman Sachs survey of small business owners that found more than 50% didn’t think they could continue operating their businesses for more than three months amid the current conditions caused by the coronavirus outbreak, I knew I had to do something.
“At 86 years of age, I have seen many things change in our great state over the years. One thing I am sure of, we never lost our inner desire to fight for each other and my little dose of hope is what the doctor ordered. God Bless Texas.” says Don, Dempsey, President and Co-Owner of Village Mobile Homes. “In the spirit of Texas, we will overcome!”
From one small business owner to another, I wanted to boost the inner fortitude of fellow Texans and support ALL local small businesses across America so I made signs saying, #TEXASSTRONG“WE SHALL OVERCOME” and “EVERYTHING’S GONNA BE ALRIGHT” and placed them along Highway 21 just off Toll 130. As people drive by, remember Texans are strong and we SHALL overcome.
For a moment, maybe they’ll forget about the coronavirus.
