Is visiting Rome on your bucket list? One of the best months to visit the Eternal City is April when you can enjoy comfortable spring weather without the intense summer heat. The average high temperature for April is in the upper 60’s while in March is lower 60’s. This pleasant weather is perfect to spend time exploring the Roman Forum and strolling the city streets. Spring also offers better airfare from Austin and far fewer crowds than summer. Currently, April flights prices are about half the prices of June and July.
The second best time to visit Rome is early October when you still have good temperatures (average high temperature in the lower 70’s), lower crowds than in summer, and 11 hours of daylight to enjoy sightseeing.
Keep in mind that evenings are cool in these months, so don’t forget to bring your jacket.
