United Way Announces $2.1 Million Investment in the Future of Central Texas
43 Community Investment Grant recipients will help strengthen families, expand opportunity, and connect people to support across the region.
AUSTIN, Texas — United Way for Greater Austin today announced the recipients of its 2026 Community Investment Grants, investing $2.1 million annually over the next three years in nonprofit organizations serving Central Texas. At a celebratory event today, United Way for Greater Austin brought together nonprofit leaders, community partners, board members and staff to recognize the grant recipients and strengthen relationships to help drive change across the region.
Community Investment Grants are one way that United Way invests in local organizations working toward shared goals for Central Texas. The grantmaking process was shaped by data and input from community members and reviewers, including people with lived experience, nonprofit leaders, and partners who understand the needs, strengths, and gaps in their communities.
These grants will support work aligned with United Way’s three North Star priorities: high-quality early care and education, access to basic resources, and family stability. Funded partners are helping children get a strong start, connecting families to essentials like food, housing, health care, and transportation, and supporting education, training, and career pathways that help people move toward financial stability.

The funded organizations represent a broad range of services and expertise across Central Texas, from early childhood education and maternal health to housing stability, workforce development, food access, and family support. Together, they are helping address some of the most significant challenges facing children and families while creating opportunities for long-term success.
The funded partners will also have opportunities to connect with one another through United Way-led gatherings and cohort-based learning, creating space to share ideas, identify gaps, and strengthen collaboration across the region.
