Twin Liquors Opens New location in original “Central Market” Center in Austin
Boutique-style store highlights curated spirits and deepens long-standing H-E-B relationship
Austin, Texas — April 16, 2026 — Twin Liquors, the Texas-based, family-owned spirits & wine retailer, today announced the opening of its newest location in the Central Market shopping center—marking a meaningful milestone in the heart of the company’s Austin roots.
Located in the original Central Market shopping center, operated by H-E-B, the new store represents a powerful alignment between two iconic Texas brands with a long-standing relationship. The opening underscores Twin Liquors’ continued growth and commitment to serving its core community.
“This location is incredibly special to us,” said Margaret Jabour, Co-Owner of Twin Liquors. “Central Market has long been a destination for Austin, and we’re proud to bring a thoughtfully curated Twin Liquors experience to such a beloved space. It’s a natural synergy between our brands and a celebration of our shared Texas heritage.”
Designed as a “jewel box” of a store, the new location introduces a more boutique feel while staying true to the Twin Liquors experience customers know and trust. The space features a highly curated selection of spirits, including an eclectic assortment of tequila, mezcal, and gin, alongside an impressive whiskey collection, local favorites, and everyday staples.
The opening comes during a year of significant expansion for Twin Liquors, which has launched five new locations in the past year—including Manor, Georgetown, Belton, Burleson, and Katy/Fulshear—with three additional stores set to open soon, two in San Antonio and one in Pflugerville. The company is also approaching a major milestone: its 90th anniversary in February 2027.
Founded in 1937 by the Jabour family, Twin Liquors has grown from a single Austin store into a statewide presence with more than 100 locations across Texas, including Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, and the Hill Country. The company has been led by third-generation siblings David Jabour and Margaret Jabour since 1982, when they rebranded the business as Twin Liquors in honor of their father, Theodore Jabour who was a Twin.
Twin Liquors will celebrate the grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in partnership with the Austin Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, April 28 at 11:00 a.m. “We’re excited to welcome the community to celebrate this special milestone with us,” said David Jabour. “This location represents not only our continued growth, but also our deep roots in Austin and our long-standing relationship with Central Market. It’s a meaningful moment for our team, and we look forward to sharing it with our customers and neighbors.” Jabour currently serves as Vice Chair of the Austin Chamber of Commerce.
Following the ceremony, the celebration continues with evening festivities from Wednesday, April 29 through Saturday, May 2, hosted on the store’s patio. Guests are invited to enjoy community-focused events, tastings, and entertainment throughout the week. Event Calendar here: https://twinliquors.com/events
