Texas: Licensed healthcare professionals and lay person can register as COVID-19 volunteers
On behalf of the Department of State Health Services, we are encouraging individuals to register here. Registrants are redirected to the Texas Disaster Volunteer Registry to complete a more detailed application form that is required before volunteering.
Licensed healthcare professionals and non-medical persons should join the “Statewide COVID-19 Responders” organization to support the state’s public health and medical preparedness response. After you self-select a volunteer assignment, your contact information is provided to the requesting organization who will contact you with further instructions and additional details of your assignment.
The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) does not provide volunteers with liability protection, workers’ compensation or health care coverage. DSHS does not provide compensation or reimbursement to volunteers, including mileage, lodging, meals, supplies, illness or injuries.
