St. David’s Medical Center names new chief financial officer


AUSTIN, Texas—St. David’s Medical Center has appointed Miah Stutts as its new chief financial officer (CFO). In this role, she will oversee the financial operations of St. David’s Medical Center, which includes the campuses of Heart Hospital of Austin and St. David’s Georgetown Hospital, as well as St. David’s Rehabilitation Hospital. Stutts will assume her new role on Oct. 1.

“Miah has more than a decade of experience in healthcare finance, having served in executive roles within several large healthcare systems,” Todd Steward, chief executive officer of St. David’s Medical Center, said. “I am confident she will play a key role in facilitating future development at St. David’s Medical Center, allowing us to continue to meet the needs of the growing Austin community.”

Stutts most recently served as the chief financial officer with HCA Virginia Health System. In this role, she was responsible for the financial operations at Reston Hospital Center, StoneSprings Hospital Center and Dominion Hospital in Northern Virginia. Prior to her time in Virginia, Stutts was the chief financial officer for Medical City Denton and Medical City Lewisville in North Texas. She also spent several years serving as controller and vice president of finance at Medical City Dallas.

Stutts is a certified public accountant and earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Louisiana State University.
