St. David’s HealthCare hospitals rank among U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals

AUSTIN, TEXAS—Four St. David’s HealthCare facilities have been ranked among the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals for 2026-2027. This year, St. David’s Medical Center, St. David’s North Austin Medical Center, St. David’s South Austin Medical Center and St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center were identified among the 505 Best Regional Hospitals for demonstrating superior outcomes. St. David’s Medical Center and St. David’s North Austin Medical Center ranked No. 1 and No. 3 in the Austin metro area, respectively.

U.S. News evaluated nearly 4,500 hospitals across 14 adult specialties.

  • St. David’s Medical Center ranked No. 1 in the region and No. 4 in the state for heart & vascular services.
  • St. David’s Medical Center, including St. David’s Rehabilitation Hospital, ranked No. 1 in the region for rehabilitation services, while St. David’s North Austin Medical Center ranked No. 2 and St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center ranked No. 3 for this specialty.
  • St. David’s North Austin Medical Center was also recognized among the Best Regional Hospitals for Community Access.

U.S. News evaluated nearly 4,500 hospitals across 14 adult specialties and 23 procedures and conditions. Only 16% of evaluated hospitals earned a Best Hospitals designation.

To determine the Best Hospitals, U.S. News analyzed each hospital’s performance based on objective measures such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications and patient experience. The Best Hospitals Specialty rankings methodology and Procedures & Conditions ratings methodologymeasure patient outcomes using data from more than 800 million records of patient care.
