St. David’s HealthCare acquires Urgent and Family Care at Avery Ranch
AUSTIN, Texas—St. David’s HealthCare announced today it has acquired Urgent and Family Care at Avery Ranch in Austin. The clinic will be rebranded to St. David’s CareNow® Urgent Care on March 1, 2021, making Austin among the largest markets across the CareNow Urgent Care enterprise.
“Austin is experiencing significant growth, and increasingly people want to be able to access healthcare services closer to where they live and work,” David Huffstutler, president and chief executive officer of St. David’s HealthCare, said. “The addition of this urgent care center will complement our already robust healthcare network and help us provide more convenient access for our patients.”
With the acquisition of Urgent and Family Care at Avery Ranch, St. David’s CareNow Urgent Care has a total of 15 locations in the region.
CareNow Urgent Care clinics offer quick care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, such as sprains and strains, minor burns, coughs, sore throats and flu-like symptoms, as well as physicals, vaccinations, general diagnostics and check-ups. The clinic will also provide occupational medicine services to local employers, including examinations and treatment of injured workers in worker’s compensation cases, pre-employment screenings and drug tests.
