Snarf's Sandwiches and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats team up to fight hunger in Austin

AUSTIN, TX: Snarf’s Sandwiches and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats team up with Marigold Project to battle hunger in Austin by giving 25% of sales of “The Rateliff” – a custom Snarf’s sandwich available February 1 through March 31, 2021 – to Caritas of Austin. The Rateliff is made with turkey, Swiss cheese, extra bacon, all toppings and extra giardiniera peppers on Snarf’s signature bread and is available at Austin Snarf’s locations.

Snarf’s Sandwiches and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats are coming together to raise money for the fight against hunger. Nathaniel and his band have been fans of Snarf’s for years. Nathaniel’s go-to special order is a turkey, Swiss cheese, extra bacon, all toppings and extra Snarf’s giardiniera peppers. When Nathaniel and Snarf’s were brainstorming ways to partner together, the idea was born to name that sandwich “The Rateliff”, offer it for a limited time and donate 25% of the sales to a local organization addressing Austin’s hunger crisis.

Owner of Snarf’s Jim Seidel (aka “Snarf”) said, “It’s heartbreaking to see the increased number of people who are hungry and suffering homelessness as a result of the COVID pandemic. We want to do our part to help and we couldn’t have a better partner than Nathaniel Rateliff.”

“The band and I have always been regulars at Snarf’s” said Nathaniel. “We are so glad to work alongside a great local business to feed our unhoused neighbors and support a great organization. This past year has made our housing and hunger emergencies even more urgent to resolve. It's a gift to us to be able to alleviate some pain and brighten some folks' days, especially right now.”

A special limited edition t-shirt is available for purchase Feb 1. through March 31st at shop.nathanielrateliff.com/collections/marigold-merch, shop.eatsnarfs.com/ or shop.nathanielrateliff.com/. All proceeds will be donated to Caritas of Austin.

The Rateliff is available at Austin Snarf’s locations from February 1 – March 31, 2021. Caritas of Austin will receive a donation of 25% of sales from The Rateliff during that time. A 7-inch Rateliff is $12.00 and a 12-inch is $15.00. The Rateliff is available in stores, online, or through the Snarf’s app.
