Frazier Law Announces Texas Expansion
Frazier Law, PLLC is proud to join the Austin Chamber of Commerce as the firm opens its Texas office. Two attorneys anchor the Texas practice: Phillip Gordon and Steven Laxton.
Steven leads the firm's intellectual property work. He comes to Frazier Law after practicing IP at two AmLaw 50 firms, and his practice sits at the intersection of law, technology, and engineering. Before entering private practice he clerked for Magistrate Judge Roy S. Payne in the Eastern District of Texas. His technical background in fiber optics, photonic integrated circuits, and nanofabrication lets him translate complex engineering into legal strategy that founders, engineers, and boards can actually use. In a city built on semiconductors, software, and hardware, that combination matters.
Phil spent nearly a decade at one of the nation’s leading political law firms in Washington, D.C. He serves as outside general counsel to companies in heavily regulated industries and to nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations, advising on entity formation and structure, governance, regulatory compliance, campaign finance and lobbying obligations, and the day-to-day questions that come with operating under close government scrutiny. He also handles civil and constitutional litigation in trial and appellate courts across the country. Phil anchors the firm's Public Interest and Political Law practice.
