The Engage & Heal Foundation 5th Anniversary Gala aims to gather our community in support of creating a positive, helpful, and open dialogue about mental health and those that are affected by it. Often, the stigma surrounding this topic is a barrier to those seeking support and healing. Our goal for this event, is to raise crucial funds to help provide direction and resources to those who feel unheard and disconnected. Engage & Heal Foundation, founded in 2019, aims to erase the stigma of mental health through resources and education. Our mission is to engage communities to prioritize mental health, ensuring young people feel heard, supported, and connected. Our journey began with Erik Hanson's tragic death in 2018, highlighting the urgent need for mental health awareness.
Mental health is a critical issue. According to NAMI and the CDC, 1 in 5 adults and 1 in 6 youth experience mental health challenges annually, and suicide is the second leading cause of death among ages 10-14. Our contributions include a $20,000 commitment to the Lake Travis School District, supporting the Ropes Course and online therapy through Anticipate Joy for teachers, faculty and parents who are disabled. Our education initiatives, like the "Strong Bodies, Strong Minds" panel, have significantly impacted local athletes. And, at the end of April, we hosted our first mental health symposium: “Embrace Mental Health and Be a Catalyst for Change! It was well attended.

Facilitate the Ropes Course for 900 students
Provide mental health literacy classes
Offer in-person workshops and online therapy
Train and educate over 1,000 community members
