A Canvas for Compassion: Host a Free Memorial Mural at Your Business

Calling all Austin Business Owners and Property Managers:

Do you have an exterior wall that is blank, overlooked, or in need of new life? We have a unique opportunity for a local business to host a stunning, photorealistic mural at no cost—while participating in a nationwide movement for public safety and remembrance.

The Project: Honoring Iryna Zarutska We are looking for a wall to host a memorial mural honoring Iryna Zarutska, a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee whose life was tragically cut short this past summer in Charlotte, NC. After fleeing the war in Ukraine to build a new life in the United States, Iryna was killed in a senseless act of violence.

To keep her memory alive and raise awareness about public safety, a series of photorealistic portrait murals are being installed in major cities across the U.S. This project serves as a beautiful, somber reminder of the need for safety in our communities and stands as a symbol of solidarity with those who have sought refuge in our country.

Cost to Business: $0. (The project covers all labor and materials.) There may even be compensation to host.

Requirement:

A suitable exterior wall (brick, concrete, or stucco) with good visibility.
