21-Day Equitable Development Challenge
The events of 2020 have prompted us all to reflect on the continued inequalities and injustices faced by people of color every day. Many of us are recognizing our privileged position in society and the role we have played in perpetuating broken systems that continue to discriminate against, and disadvantage, people of color.
ULI is committed to be a catalyst for local change in the real estate industry and in our diverse communities. To start this work, ULI Austin is inviting you to participate in a 21-Day Challenge. The goal is to spend time both personally reflecting and in group discussions to identify real actions we can take individually, at our company/organization, and as a community to address the inequities in the real estate industry.
It is our hope that you will commit to this challenge by signing up. Please feel free to share the challenge with anyone you think will be interested – your friends, colleagues, co-workers (whether in the real estate industry or not). We encourage people to sign up throughout the duration of the challenge. Although we think you will get the most out of it by participating in all three weeks, we are happy to have you join in whenever you can. Any participation is better than none!
We look forward to completing the challenge with all of you. As more people in cities across the United States participate, we can have more purposeful discussions and most importantly identify collective actions that we can take to push an Equitable Development Agenda forward. If you have any questions, please email austin@uli.org.
