About the Position

Are you a marketing-savvy college student who lives and breathes podcasts, knows how to hook attention in under 10 seconds, and wants to make a real impact at the intersection of media, entrepreneurship, and financial wellness?

We’re looking for an intern to join our growing team behind two locally-rooted Austin brands:

Austin Eras Podcast – spotlighting unforgettable people and stories shaping the soul of our city

Collective Advisors – a boutique financial firm helping people simplify money and live intentionally

This is not a coffee-run internship. You'll be creating real content, amplifying voices, and helping a small team punch way above our weight in both reach and relevance. Bonus points if you love live music, local legends, smart branding, or have a secret obsession with personal finance.

What You’ll Do

Podcast + Content Marketing

- Help promote semi-monthly podcast episodes across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube)

- Clip and edit short-form video for Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts

- Draft engaging captions and highlight graphics

- Assist with recording logistics (camera setup, mic checks, behind-the-scenes content)

- Work with us to push out multiple short-form videos per week across both brands

Social Media + Brand Growth

- Launch TikTok for Austin Eras and Instagram for Collective Advisors

- Manage additional social media channels

- Build and maintain a consistent posting calendar

- Research growth strategies to increase followers and engagement

- Track analytics and suggest optimizations

- Support email newsletters, event invites, and community-building ideas

Creative + Administrative Support

- Organize media files, episode assets, and social libraries

- Pitch creative content ideas to keep us fresh, fun, and relevant

- Jump in where needed on other marketing or advisor-related projects

What We’re Looking For

- Currently enrolled college student in the Austin area

- Studying marketing, communication, journalism, business, public relations or similar

- Strong writer with a sense of tone, humor, and how to “speak Instagram and TikTok”

- Comfortable with video editing (OpusClip, Adobe Premiere, or similar)

- Experience with podcast audio/video production or editing is a plus

- Genuinely curious about Austin’s culture, stories, and community

- Organized, proactive, and curious — you figure things out and get stuff done

- Interest in media, entrepreneurship, finance, or storytelling is a big plus

- Available 10–15 hours/week, ideally for multiple semesters in a row

Perks + Vibe

- Flexible schedule around classes and breaks

- Hands-on experience with podcasting, branding, and small-business growth

- Work with a supportive, creative team that values your input and ideas

- Hybrid setup: some in-person time at our Southwest Austin office + remote flexibility

- Occasional behind-the-scenes access to podcast guests, happy hours, and community events

- Potential for expanded role or long-term position after graduation

Bonus Tip

We love personality. If you’ve got a favorite podcast, Austin tradition, or weird hobby—tell us! Let’s build something unforgettable together.
