For 100 years, Austin Public Library has been a place where stories begin, curiosity grows, and community comes together. On Thursday, November 5, 2026, we invite you to help write the next chapter.
Join The Library Foundation for STORIES, our signature fundraising gala celebrating the 100th anniversary of Austin Public Library and the 30th anniversary of The Library Foundation. This Centennial celebration will be unlike any STORIES gala before it, bringing together community leaders, philanthropists, library advocates, and friends for a once-in-a-generation evening honoring Austin's past while investing in its future.
Enjoy a cocktail reception, an elegant seated dinner, inspiring stories of impact, and the Storytime Bash, our rooftop celebration featuring live entertainment, decadent desserts, and spectacular views of the Austin skyline.
Most importantly, your participation makes a lasting difference. Every ticket purchased, sponsorship secured, and gift made helps expand access to books, technology, educational programs, and welcoming library spaces across all 21 Austin Public Library locations. Together, we can ensure that Austin Public Library continues to inspire readers, learners, and creators for the next 100 years.
Attire: Austin Chic. To celebrate this once-in-a-century milestone, guests are invited (but not required) to add a touch of 1920s-inspired glamour to their attire, whether through vintage-inspired accessories or full Roaring Twenties elegance.
