At the very heart of Austin beats a commitment to safety, healing, and resilience. SAFE stands as the vanguard of survivor support and prevention services, providing critical support to nearly 6,000 survivors of abuse each year, including more than 1,000 people every night, half of whom are children.
For those facing unimaginable circumstances, SAFE is often a lifeline, offering the first place of refuge, the first voice of compassion, and the first step toward meaningful support.
Through emergency shelter, housing, counseling, legal advocacy, prevention, and education, SAFE provides lifesaving services to survivors and serves as a steady heartbeat within our city, strengthening families and creating pathways to healing and hope.
The Heartbeat of Austin celebrates the power of community, honoring the resilience of survivors, the dedication of advocates, and the spirit that makes Austin a place where hope can flourish. Together, we can ensure The SAFE Alliance continues to serve as a beacon of safety, healing, and hope for those who need it most.
