Medicare and Voting Rights: From LBJ to Current Day

AEW From LBJ to Current Day banner Register

2025 marks the 60th anniversary of the high tide of the Great Society, which saw transformational change in America through the landmark laws President Lyndon Johnson saw to fruition: Voting Rights, immigration reform, federal aid to education, the creation of Medicare, Medicaid, Head Start, Pell Grants, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the National Endowment of the Arts and the Humanities, and more.

On December 16, please join us as we examine the state of Medicare and voting rights—and the nation at large—today. The program will be organized into two 40-minute conversations.

This event is open to members of the Friends of the LBJ Library (at the Individual level and above). Not a member? Join today!
