We are so thankful for our hosts and owners, John and Jennifer, of Community Impact! They launched the first edition of Community Impact Newspaper in 2005 with three full-time employees covering Round Rock and Pflugerville. Now, Community Impact Newspaper distributes hyperlocal news and information to millions of local residents and business owners each day online and monthly by mail.
Community Impact Newspaper is vested in the communities we serve and has dedicated reporters in each community who attend city council and school board meetings. We are among the first to report on local business, transportation, education and health care. Our staff serve on chamber boards, volunteer with nonprofits and are involved in our communities to make them a better place to live and work.
Event Details
The Chamber is very excited to be having another Business Owner's Council for the business community, and we need your help and expertise to continue uplifting the needs of our growing economy and present leaders.
The purpose of this event is to reignite our committee membership and engage new members that are business owners in the Austin region.
This council provides a focused opportunity for business owners to advise in the work of the Chamber, including the following:
- Facilitate business owner perspectives on policy concerns.
- Advise on the development of targeted content, programming, and events in support of business owners
- Identify potential Chamber members

Cancellation Policy
The Austin Chamber of Commerce must maintain a cancellation policy for events in order to properly plan for catering, venue expenses, and marketing efforts. Unless stated otherwise, Chamber reservations must be canceled 5 business days prior to the event to be eligible for a refund. All refunds will be issued 10 days after the event. No refunds will be issued for nonattendance. You are welcome to send another member of your staff in your place.
