Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering

TAME programs connect Texas students to opportunities in Engineering. When students engage in a TAME Club or participate in a Regional Competition, it doesn’t matter if they’re from a small border town or a city center: they all have access to the same high-quality, engineering education to spark their curiosity. The world greatly needs the solutions and innovations that a more representative group of engineers would offer, and that’s why TAME is focused on supporting the potential of girls and students from Black, Hispanic, and Native American communities to pursue their engineering dreams. TAME combines research-based engineering learning opportunities with intentional efforts to build a strong sense of belonging and community among TAME students in the engineering classroom. TAME recognizes that kids come from very different places, and our programs are designed to meet them where they are.
