When Rhonda Brunson and Bev Childress co-founded Waypoint Wellness HQ, they set out to redefine what workplace wellness could look like. Drawing on their combined experience in leadership, wellness, and personal development, they help individuals and organizations build resilience through science-informed breathwork, nervous system regulation, mindfulness, and experiential learning.

A Shared Vision for Wellbeing

For Rhonda, the journey to Waypoint Wellness HQ was rooted in a career dedicated to serving others. She began as a high school French teacher before becoming a professional photographer and later founded the Choose Courage Foundation, where she spent a decade supporting survivors of domestic abuse and advocating for healing and empowerment. Along the way, she discovered the transformative impact of breathwork and nervous system regulation, inspiring a new mission to help others navigate stress and thrive.

Bev brings a complementary perspective shaped by years of leadership, coaching, and a passion for helping people reach their full potential. Together, Rhonda and Bev recognized a growing need for practical, evidence-based tools that help people manage stress, strengthen resilience, and lead with greater clarity—both in their personal lives and at work.

Turning Wellness into Workplace Impact

Today, Waypoint Wellness HQ partners with businesses, executives, and teams to improve resilience, communication, leadership, and sustainable performance. Through corporate workshops, coaching, speaking engagements, and immersive learning experiences, Rhonda and Bev teach practical skills that participants can use long after a session ends.

Rather than treating wellness as a one-time initiative, Waypoint focuses on creating lasting habits that help people regulate stress, improve focus, foster stronger relationships, and build healthier workplace cultures.

Growing in Austin's Business Community

As members of the Austin Chamber, Rhonda and Bev value the opportunity to connect with organizations that are investing in leadership, innovation, and employee wellbeing. Austin's collaborative business environment and entrepreneurial spirit provide the ideal setting for conversations about resilience, workplace culture, and sustainable performance.

Through their Chamber membership, they look forward to building relationships, sharing their expertise, and supporting businesses that recognize their people are their greatest asset.
