Texas-based upscale restaurant wins Greater Austin Business Award for exceptional customer relations

The Austin MSA is home to more than 7,000 restaurants (talk about a lot of work for food inspectors). But for foodies (yes, even vegans), tourists, and locals, having access to a plentitude of fare means noshing until your heart is content. Along with this surplus of provisions comes an expectation that each establishment ensures customers with first-rate customer service. One local restaurant, Truluck’s, takes its commitment to customer service very seriously.

For the past 17 years, Truluck’s has heightened their customer’s experience by ensuring that all Truluck’s employees receive their customer service “constitution” and work with a one-on-one certified trainer. Team members must complete a series of tests, daily performance reviews with the General Manager, and receive an annual performance evaluation of their services. Top performers are awarded at a bi-annual cultural celebration.

“We believe in making our customers feel significant by being unshakably polite and steadfast in our attention to detail,” said Andrea Gentry, Managing Partner of Truluck’s. “We value the feedback of our patrons because they help us become a better business, restaurant, and most importantly neighbor in the community we serve.”

Truluck’s unwavering promise to ensure the best customer service has paid off. Recently, they were voted by Open Table as one of the top 100 restaurants in America. They were also awarded the ABC Home and Commercial Services Customer Service Award. The accolade, a category of the Greater Austin Business Awards program, recognizes an organization dedicated to outstanding customer service and satisfaction.

“We are honored to receive this award for the third time in four years,” said David Tripoli, Chief Operating Officer of Truluck’s. “We couldn’t do what we do if it were not for our outstanding team that makes our customers feels at home.”

Currently, Truluck’s is welcoming the crab season by offering patrons unlimited Florida stone crab for one low price. Customers can enjoy this special discount every Monday. Additionally, Truluck’s is serving half-price cocktails, wines, and appetizers every day during cocktail hour.
