On March 31, the Austin Chamber of Commerce welcomed Torc Robotics to Austin with a ribbon cutting ceremony for Torc Austin, the company’s new Austin office. Torc Robotics is hoping to hire 50 Austin-based employees this year and generate more economic activity in Austin.

“We’re so excited to be a part of Austin’s lively culture and incredible talent pool. Our Austin office will primarily serve as a software development hub where we will be hiring across engineering, data science and product management.” -Meghan Juanarena, Director of Talent Acquisition

Austin was selected for its proximity to the Southwest shipping corridor and 1 in 16 Texans are employed by the trucking industry. The approximately 21,000 sq. foot office will complement the autonomous truck firm’s Blacksburg, Virginia, headquarters and its Albuquerque, New Mexico, test center.

Torc Austin is located at 3711 MoPac Expressway, Building One Suite 400, Austin, TX 78746. More information about Torc Robotics can be found at: Self-Driving Truck Technology - Autonomous Vehicles | Torc Robotics
