Hear ye, Hear ye! The Pizza Press opens in Austin

Posted on 05/04/2017 by Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce

New Chamber member, The Pizza Press, located just off Guadalupe at 404 W. 26th street, celebrated their grand opening by offering patrons a free pizza (with purchase of a drink) as part of their #GreatPizzaGiveaway.

“We are so excited to be in Austin,” said Lisa Hilo, owner of the Pizza Press. “It’s such a vibrant and growing city.”

Based out of California, the 1920s newspaper-themed restaurant allows patrons to “publish” their own pizza by choosing from a large choice of sauces, meats, and vegetables. Patrons can also choose salads, desserts or pizzas such as “the gazette” or “the times” from their signature menu.

The 20 employee staffed pizzeria will donate up to $3,000 to the Harrison Brown Memorial Fund. Brown was the student who died after a stabbing attack on the University of Texas campus. The Pizza Press is open from 11 a.m. to midnight daily and will accept donations for the fund at checkouts.
