Corporate Citizenship Strategy

In 2023, we launched our first-ever corporate citizenship strategy to outline the focus areas and commitments that will guide how we will drive toward creating a stronger, safer, more resilient Texas. We’ve committed to combining the power of Texas Mutual’s business operations, philanthropy and partnerships to focus on four areas of impact.

2024 Austin-Area Support

As the home of our headquarters, Austin has a special place in our hearts. We partner with many nonprofits in the area, and our nearly 700 Austin-based employees spend hundreds of hours volunteering in our community each year. See how we delivered on our corporate citizenship pillars within the Texas Capital region last year.

From company investments to volunteering, our employees are dedicated to serving our communities. See 2024 highlights of how we showed up for our Austin-area neighbors:

  • Our employees raised over $175,000 for our longstanding partner, United Way, during our annual campaign.
  • We donated building space to Primrose School of Austin at Mueller, allowing them to provide care to 20 additional students.
  • Texas Mutual distributed $350 million in general dividends to our qualifying policyholders, including $13.2 million to Travis County businesses.
  • We contributed $125,000 to support the design of the Austin Infrastructure Academy to help connect job seekers to career pathways in construction and operations.
  • In October, our Austin employees led Texas Mutual’s Month of Giving, in partnership with the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation’s (IICF) Month of Giving, completing volunteer projects for Generation SERVE, Mobile Loaves & Fishes, Foundation Communities, Ronald McDonald House, Any Baby Can, El Buen Samaritano and Girls Empowerment Network.
  • We unveiled a mural for the Mueller neighborhood at Branch Park Pavilion in honor of our 30thanniversary.
  • Texas Mutual employees raised over $42,000 for our longstanding partner, the American Heart Association (AHA), and stepped together for its annual Heart Walk.

2024 Impact Report

Thanks to our hardworking employees and nonprofit partners, our reach extends to the entire state. View our 2024 Corporate Citizenship Impact Report to learn about all that we accomplished last year and see how we’re taking steps to support the future of Texas and our industry.

These achievements reflect our ongoing commitment to being a model corporate citizen in Texas now and for decades to come. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made and are grateful to our policyholders, agents, community partners and employees who share in our mission and make these efforts possible.
