Six Austin businesses to visit for National Small Business Week

Posted on 05/06/2019 by Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce

Each year, our country celebrates National Small Business Week, "which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners." President John F. Kennedy signed the first proclamation recognizing Small Business Week in 1963; every president since has followed suit.

More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and small businesses create two out of every three new jobs each year. There are approximately 30 million small businesses in the US.

Small businesses are welcome to join the Austin Chamber and participate in our many programs and events that recognize the efforts of small businesses, including the Greater Austin Business Awards, Austin A-List Awards, and the Austin Gives program.

We're proud to call these Austin-based small businesses Chamber members.
