Grand Opening of Simar Seafood Cosina
On January 25th and 26th we had the incredible honor of having a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Austin Chamber of Commerce as well as the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. They helped us in welcoming the newest addition to the Casa Chapala family- Simar Seafood Cocina! Simar is a new concept straight from Central Mexico. Specializing in aguachiles, ceviches, and your favorite Mexican dishes like Pescado Veracruz and Callo de Acha.

Simar Seafood Cocina is open 7 days a week and has happy hour Monday through Friday from 3-7 pm. We have a patio and kids' play area we like to call 'Nemos Room'. We're family-friendly but still perfect for a date night or girls' happy hour.
Lupe Barragan says "I've always been a seafood lover and was inspired by the coastal regions of Mexico and beyond. My favorite dish at Simar is the Almeja Reina. White clams are made like a cold ceviche or marinated and oven-roasted. It's a must-try! We hope that you enjoy it and we can't wait to serve you soon!"
