As part of our TechTalk series, we were excited to host a timely conversation on non-fungible tokens. We examined the history, the present landscape, and our panelists shared where they think the future of NFTs is headed.

SXSW's Hugh Forrest opened the conversation for our TechTalk event at Capital Factory with Tiana Laurence, the CEO of GoodMatch and whurley of Strangeworks, asking the simple question, what are non-fungible tokens?

From there, panelists explained how we got to NFTs today, what the future looks like for this innovation, and what the current downturn means. They agreed that the recent downturn creates an incredible opportunity to move NFTs forward. They believed that the current state has to drive bad actors out of the marketplace, which will drive a spirit to create something better than we have now.

We had a great audience that asked questions of our panelists, including how quantum computing and the future of the internet tie into the future of NFTs.

Thank you to our panelists, Hugh Forest, and everyone who engaged in the conversation about NFTs.

The Austin Chamber puts on a variety of events all year long. Check our events page to see what is coming up.
