PIMCO was honored to be a part of Texas Wall Street Women’s inaugural mentoring dinner in May, a special evening of candid and meaningful conversation with some of the community’s most successful women executives. Featured speakers included PIMCO’s Sapna Shah, head of corporate responsibility, and Erin Browne, portfolio manager focused on asset allocation strategies. At the event, Sapna and Erin shared details of their personal experiences navigating – and succeeding in – the financial services industry.

With role models few and far between, it was striking to be in a room full of articulate, accomplished women who’ve conquered their piece of the Wall Street pie. Attaining success feels so much more possible once you’ve seen others achieve it,” said Gabrielle Levin, digital marketing manager at PIMCO.

With diversity of thought widely recognized as contributing to business success, PIMCO is actively working to increase the ranks of women in positions of influence at our firm and within the industry. To that end, our three-part Women & Investing initiative is designed to both advocate for gender equality and educate our clients on how they can best partner with women investors.

More broadly, at PIMCO we also believe that gender equality (goal 2 of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals) is a fundamental issue critical to human development and sustainable worldwide economic growth. It’s a privilege to partner for change with organizations like Texas Wall Street Women, a peer network of professional women in the finance industry who are committed to making a difference in our community, and to developing and growing professionally.

PIMCO is one of the world’s premier fixed income investment managers. Our Austin office is located at 401 Congress Avenue. For more about PIMCO, please visit pimco.com and follow us on LinkedIn and Twitter.
