Peoples Rx New State of the Art Compounding Center, Same Great Service

Posted on 05/04/2021 by Katie Morgan

Peoples Rx has been an Austin staple for over 40 years. We are thrilled to support them as a Chamber member and an integral part of Austin's small business community.

Peoples was founded in 1980 in Austin, Texas. Founder, Bill Swail had a vision of creating a unique, personable environment for customers with an intense focus on customer service. Now, they are wellness and compounding specialists committed to their customers' total health.

Customer focused

Peoples Rx defines their mission as “to empower people to make educated health choices while providing prompt, friendly service with the highest quality products.” Every customer who walks through their doors knows this to be true. With a customized approach, the Wellness department is able to utilize a holistic approach to healing. They achieve this by seeking to identify potential problems in every aspect of a patient’s life and offering suggestions that supplement and complement western medicine.

New update, same great service

Recently, Peoples Rx introduced their brand new, state of the art, 5000 sq ft closed door compounding lab! The new building boasts the latest safety standards and regulations, and allows their team to focus solely on what they do best–compounding personalized medications. Nothing changes for customers, who will continue picking up their compounding prescriptions at their favorite Peoples Rx location, but it is a big change for the day-to-day compounding operations.

Curbside options

Like most of Austin in 2020, Peoples quickly pivoted to providing curbside service in all departments–wellness, pharmacy, compounding, and deli. They also launched their webstore, allowing customers to browse and purchase their entire wellness department, including vitamins, supplements, grocery, beauty and body care, CBD, and more. This allows them to serve all customers, whether in person or virtually.
