Omni Barton Creek debuts its spectacular evolution

Recently, the Omni Barton Creek debuted the results of its months-long evolution and it looks spectacular. We asked Todd Raessler, GM of Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa what guests can expect when they stay at the transformed resort.

What are the three most important things you want people to know about the evolution Omni Barton Creek underwent?

One of the signature elements of Omni Barton Creek’s transformation is the addition of a second resort tower & conference center, increasing our guestroom count to 493 and expanding our indoor meeting space to over 52,000 square feet.

We also have Seven new unique dining options that give resort guests the opportunity to explore a variety of new cuisine during their stay, including the award-winning Bob’s Steak & Chop House, the garden-to-table eatery Blind Salamander, and Nopales, offering Latin-American fare.

Guests will experience total relaxation at the brand-new 13,000 square foot Mokara Spa, offering signature treatments and a rooftop, adults-only pool overlooking the Texas Hill Country.

What differentiates the new conference center from others in Austin and what makes it appealing to host meetings/conferences?

Meeting attendees can expect an entirely new experience at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa. Every effort was made to ensure almost all of our meeting rooms take full advantage of the amazing Texas Hill Country views with windows and patios being a prevalent feature.

The resort is ideal for meetings of all sizes, featuring approximately 76,0000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor event and meeting space, including a brand-new conference center and Hill Country Pavilion. The Pavilion boasts floor-to-ceiling windows that can be opened for a true indoor/outdoor space, plus an outdoor deck provides sweeping views of the Texas Hill Country. No other hotel in Austin can provide this.

Can you give a little bit more about the renovations to the golf courses, what can golfers expect?

Golfers can expect improved sightlines, bunker replacements, leveled tee boxes, restored greens (on some holes increasing the greens to their original size added 6 feet of playability), and overall improved course conditions vastly improving the golfer’s experience.

Anything else you want to share about the evolution?

Every detail of the resort has been designed to celebrate the essence of the beautiful Hill Country in which we reside. From the artwork, the floor to ceiling windows, the angles of the buildings to capture that perfect view, every effort was made to bring the outdoors in.
