The Steam Team is thrilled to be the presenting sponsor of our Annual Meeting taking place Tuesday, February 6 at 11:00 a.m. in the JW Marriott. Founded in 1983, The Steam Team is the only full-service cleaning and catastrophe management company in Austin.

The mid-day conference brings together business professionals from companies of all sizes and genres as we celebrate the success of the past year. In 2017, the 2.9 percent regional job growth made Austin the sixth fastest growing metro job market. Attendees will be provided with Chamber accomplishments focused on affordability, education, talent development, and transportation.

“Austin means so much to us,” said Josh Lasch, CEO of The Steam Team. “We founded our company here and for the past 35 years have continued to grow in the region. We are honored to participate in this event and to share the progress of Austin.”

As the presenting sponsor, David Marquardt and Josh Lasch of The Steam Team, will introduce the recipient of the highest honor of the Austin Chamber—the Austinite of the Year Award. The recipient, Bobby Jenkins, Owner and CEO of ABC Home and Commercial Services, will be honored for his unwavering commitment and generosity to serve the local community for the past 30 years.

“When I think of Bobby, one word comes to mind—Incredible,” said David Marquardt, President of The Steam Team. “He is not only a great businessman and public servant, but he is a wonderful friend. I am so proud of Bobby and the work he has accomplished in this community.  I couldn’t think of a better person more fit to receive this award.”

The event will also recognize volunteers of the year in areas pertaining to economic development, education, transportation, innovation, member relations, talent acquisition, federal, state, and local advocacy. Members of the Chamber Ambassador Program as well as Austin Gives will also be acknowledged for their efforts.
