Curative was built by and for communities, and we’re excited to call Austin the home of our new revolutionary, cost-effective health care plan. Here’s how we got here.

Throughout our work providing health care during the COVID-19 pandemic, we learned how to put the patient experience first to remove longstanding barriers to care, including concern over costs, and lack of accessibility and convenience. Building trust through transparency and partnership became a tenet in our mission as we worked with communities and local organizations to deliver over 35 million COVID-19 tests across thousands of testing sites in over 40 states, including across Texas.

Taking the lessons learned from fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, Curative turned our gaze to one of the most significant barriers to health: cost-transparent health insurance.

Curative recently announced our health insurance plan with $0 deductibles, $0 copays, and $0 out-of-pocket costs for all in-network care, including many brand-name, specialty, and generic medications. With this pricing model, Curative strives to encourage proactive member engagement by reducing financial barriers to care. The only requirement to qualify is to complete a Baseline Visit within 120 days of enrollment, which orients you to the plan and helps you set your health goals.

When looking for communities to launch our new plan, we knew we had to start with Austin. Austin is growing with limitless potential and is home to many cutting-edge and influential companies. In 2023, we’ll be working on expanding throughout the state of Texas. Our plan is currently available to employers with 51 or more employees.

Choice in health care is important, which is why we built one of the largest provider networks in the Austin area. The Curative PPO provider network includes Austin Regional Clinic, Austin Diagnostic Clinic, HCA Healthcare, Ascension/Seton (with Dell Children’s Hospital), and Baylor Scott White. Additionally, First Health’s Complementary Network is now available to Curative members, and access to First Health’s Prime Network is available for any care needed outside of Travis and Williamson Counties.

In the Austin area, Curative’s coverage includes:

• 9,500 Physicians
• 25 Urgent Care Centers

Not only do we have a comprehensive network of providers, members can also access a robust formulary (list of covered prescriptions) with $0 copay for a wide range of preferred drugs for many conditions. Members can save time by getting prescriptions from the Curative Pharmacy delivered to their homes as soon as the same day.

In addition, each Curative plan member is paired with a Care Navigator who will support their journey as a member, providing resources and guidance on maximizing their health benefits. and utilize the Baseline Visit to assist employees in reaching their health goals. We also offer a 24/7 support line to answer any member questions.,

Lastly, solidifying our commitment to the Austin community, we are developing a state-of-the-art health and wellness center called the Curative Commons in the heart of downtown Austin, at 900 Congress Ave. Members will be able to complete their Baseline Visit, conduct diagnostic tests, socialize, and learn how to best prioritize their health.
