She’s no stranger to fashion and that goes for the local Austin community as well.

Homegrown iconic jewelry designer, Kendra Scott, graces the cover of the latest Greater Austin Chamber Newcomer Guide. The mogul of an enterprise reportedly valued at $1 billion, Kendra Scott shares the many reasons she loves Austin and calls Central Texas home. This is the first time the Newcomer Guide has featured a prominent business personality in the region.

“Kendra Scott’s story represents what’s possible in the Austin region. It’s a diverse culture that is collaborative, friendly, and a community where entrepreneurs can thrive,” said Mike Berman, Senior Vice President of Marketing for the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce. “She started in 2002 with just $500 designing jewelry out of her spare bedroom and turned that into a highly successful and valued enterprise. Kendra also reflects the spirit of Austin in her company values which include family, fashion and philanthropy.”

In partnership with Texas Monthly, the Newcomer Guide is designed as a helpful resource for tens of thousands of individuals and families relocating around the Central Texas region.
