IKEA U.S. has debuted its first-ever cross-brand retail experience in select Texas and Florida Best Buy stores allowing IKEA to create a better experience that is more, affordable, accessible and positive for its customers.

On November 5th, 2025, IKEA South Austin at Best Buy opened a Plan and order point located at 4970 W Highway 290, Austin, TX 78735. Through this partnership, IKEA is able to introduce kitchen planning services to a broader audience, enhancing consumer experience. The ambition is that by opening up the brand in this way, IKEA customers will easily be able to integrate Best Buy appliances designed for American preferences into their IKEA kitchens.

The shop-in-shop experience is staffed with IKEA co-workers who help customers design their spaces while also being able to shop for appliances like refrigerators, microwaves, ranges, dishwashers and washer and dryers. The 1,000-square-foot IKEA showroom showcases inspirational kitchen and laundry room settings. This innovative shared retail experience reflects both companies’ commitment to meeting customers where they are - offering well-designed home furnishing solutions and cutting-edge appliances in one convenient, collaborative retail experience. The difference is that instead of taking home IKEA products with you, you discover your look and style for your living space, design it with the help of an IKEA associate and then have the affordable home furnishings or furniture shipped directly to your residence.
