On April 12, the Austin Chamber held the 7^th Annual Austin Gives Generous Business Awards at the Hilton in Downtown Austin. We honored the philanthropic efforts of the local job creators and companies that go above and beyond for our community.

It was a room filled with the buzz of a big celebration! Videos told the stories of our finalists in each category, and story cards at each place setting summarized how our nominees make our community a better place. You can see more pictures from the event on by clicking the picture below!

The entire room was inspired as HEB Central Texas Region Senior Vice President and General Manager Jeff Thomas—this year’s recipient of the Bobby Jenkins Philanthropic Leadership Award—discussed how philanthropy has made a difference in his life.

Our judges reviewed nearly 100 nominations and chose four winners that best represented what it means to give back.

Charitable Champions (fewer than 26 employees): Antonelli's Cheese Shop

Big Heart (27-100 employees): The Beck Group

Bold Giver (101-400 employees): Austin American-Statesman

Community Leaders (401+ employees): Texas Mutual Insurance Company
