Finalists Announced for Austin Gives Generous Business Awards

Awards to be presented at annual event on March 3

Austin, Texas (Jan. 10, 2017) The Austin Chamber of Commerce announced today 12 finalists for the 2016 Austin Gives Generous Business Awards which recognize organizations that demonstrate exemplary business philanthropy. One winning company from each of four categories will be announced at the annual awards luncheon scheduled for March 3, 2017 at the Hyatt Regency in Austin.

During the luncheon, renowned designer and philanthropist Kendra Scott will be the featured speaker to share her story on the importance of philanthropy and giving back to business success.

This year’s finalists represent businesses of all types and sizes. Categories include Charitable Champions (under 26 employees), Big Heart (27-100 employees), Bold Giver (100-400 employees), and Community Leaders (over 400 employees).

The Generous Business Awards were created by Austin Gives in order to recognize and celebrate businesses of all sizes in the Austin community who make giving back a part of their business model. Since its launch in 2011, the Austin Gives program has celebrated Austin as one of the most philanthropic cities in the nation and has quickly grown with over 450 companies in the network.
