Through our philanthropic arm, DISCO Cares, we donated 394 pounds of food and beverages to the Central Texas Food Bank. Since DISCO Cares started in 2017, we have been working with the Food Bank to reduce food insecurity.

Whether it is our employees making monetary donations during Amplify Austin, Hunger Action Month, and the corporate challenge or volunteering at the warehouse, reducing food insecurity is one of our top priorities.

In 2020 alone, the Central Texas Food Bank:

• Saw an unprecedented demand that led them to distribute a record 64.5 million pounds of food in fiscal 2020.
• They served 297,000 individuals a month in fiscal year 2020, a 25% increase from fiscal 2019.
• Nearly 12,500 of the households served were using their services for the first time.

2020 took a toll on all of us, especially families in need. To help where we can, we also began volunteering at the warehouse again. The Central Texas Food Bank has developed a safe model to help while being socially distant.
