Local executives cite the need for more direct flights to help them grow jobs in Austin. The Chamber is pleased that Condor Airlines announced today their plans to triple their nonstop service to Frankfurt, Germany.

“We are happy to increase our frequency from Austin to Frankfurt with this additional flight and be able to offer our customers a smart choice for their transatlantic travels three times a week,” Jens Boyd, Director of Long Haul and Revenue Management of Thomas Cook Group Airlines said in a statement. “Our Condor flights still are the only nonstop service from Austin to continental Europe and the bookings in the last year clearly showed that many more Texans love our service.”

All flights will utilize a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft for business, premium, and economy class. All passengers will receive complimentary checked baggage, beverages, meals, and in flight entertainment.

Flights will begin May 28, 2018, and run through September 27, 2018. The third additional flight will begin June 27, 2018. For more information including ticket prices, click here or call 1-866-960-7915.

The next task force meeting will be held Wednesday, September 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Austin Chamber of Commerce boardroom.
