Best Buy, a leading provider of technology products, services and solutions, is bringing 50 high tech jobs to Central Texas as it plans to establish an e-commerce operations center in a 20,000 SF building in San Marcos. The company has signed an economic development agreement with the city of San Marcos and Hays County, which calls for a 75% sales tax rebate and a 50% personal property tax rebate for a period of 10 years. The sales tax agreement can be extended for 2 more years. The company will create 25 jobs in the first year with another 25 in subsequent years.
