Austin Chamber honors business champions and schools for education excellence

Posted on 10/29/2018

The Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce today announced recipients of its Business Champions in Education awards and District Awards for Educational Excellence.

Education Business Champions were identified by regional chambers of commerce. District Awards for Educational Excellence were determined by data submitted by individual campuses. Both sets of award winners will be recognized at the Chamber’s State of Education on Nov. 9.

The State of Education will feature discussions about the future of education in Central Texas and how our region attracts cutting-edge companies and new jobs.

“We can invest in our economy and our infrastructure, but the most important investment we make is in our children and their futures,” said Bank of America Austin Market President Nikki Graham, vice chair of the Chamber’s education council. “As job creators, we owe a debt of gratitude to the men and women who wake up every day that are singularly focused on helping our children receive a good education. These awards are a small way for all of us, job creators, parents, neighbors, to say ‘thank you’ for everything our educators do each day.”
